After last Thursday's rainout and no games on Memorial Day, we had big turnouts for the games tonight, and it was awesome to see so many folks on the sidelines following the action.
Red made a five point comeback in the early game to force overtime versus White, only to swap points in OT and then lose on our first universe point in the league's new format. If we'd stuck with our old rule, Red would likely be the unprecedented kings and queens of the tie in the history of our league. They've played really close in every game so far.
Black and Blue played an exciting prime time game, with Black making a few big grabs to get the win 14-11.
Green notched their first win of the season in the late game, 14-8 over Yellow. Green built an early lead, but Yellow got momentum going into the half, down 9-5. The first point of the second half lasted over seven minutes, with both teams having some opportunities to score. Green eventually scored that point, and rattled off two more breaks before Yellow could get back on the board. Yellow avoided being doubled up on a crafty pre-stall trick play to score just before time expired.
