Kind of a weak day. Questionable weather that got wet halfway through the prime time game, plus a light turnout for several teams, and fewer costumes than I was hoping for, but there were still some great highlights.

Blue and Green were tied 8-8 mid-way through the second half, but Green remained the hottest team in the league, getting three unanswered points late and winning their sixth game in a row, 11-8 over Blue. Best costumes included a cow, cat, an Average Joe's dodgeball uniform, lifeguard, and golfer.

In prime time, Red and Yellow both had solid turnout. Red dominated the game, getting out to an early lead and never letting up. The play of the game for Red was an insane 30 yard huck of a Sour Patch Kid from the sidelines that Keegs caught in his mouth on the field of play. Kenzie had an epic Callahan for Yellow. Rain came on strong in the second half, but we were able to complete the game after a ten minute rain delay. Costumes included Rob's over the top evil jester outfit for Red, and Yellow's team of Minions after a banana.

White defeated Black 16-7 in a soggy late game that featured only a few costumes. Highlights included Tom as Ash, who "chose" a few players on the sidelines with his Pokeball.

Thanks to everyone for having some great spirit tonight, in spite of the wet weather late.

Only three regular season games remain before our Wildwood Hangover pickup game on 7/31, and then on to Summer playoffs! White holds a two game lead in the standings, with Red and Green tied for second. A lot could change in the remaining games.
