Blue had a fierce team for tonight's elimination game vs Black, who was savage again. This time, Black at least had a full seven players show up. The Black team played chilly offense against Blue's zone (and sometimes person), and managed to get to the half leading Blue 8-7. Black received the pull in the second half and added to the lead. Blue kept it close, but Black closed out the win 15-12. Excellent season, Blue - particularly the epic playoff game vs Red last week - that was the best game I've seen on the Lime Kiln field in a long time.
White and Red played a back and forth game late, with the score tied much of the night, similar to last week's Red vs Blue contest. White vs Red was a lot quieter on the sidelines. Not sure if that was because White was playing savage, or if Red and the remaining folks from Blue and Black were gorging on Halloween candy. Ultimately, I suspect it was both. In the end, just list last week's game vs Blue, Red got the win by a single point.
With two wins, Red gets a bye on Thursday. The two one-loss teams, Black and White, will play. The loser goes home, and the winner advances to play Red for the championship. Either team would have to beat Red twice to win it all. Red just has to win one more game to clinch the Fall championship.
