Blue and Black played an extremely close game tonight. It was tied most of the game, with a lot of long points by both squads. The score was 10-10 with about a minute to play when Keith Mancini scored to put Black up by one. They added a break to seal the victory just before time expired. Black goes to 2-2 with the win, and Blue is still winless, though they played very well. If some of their absentee players from their roster came to games, I believe it would be a different story.
Red and Green squared off in the late game. Red was undefeated coming in, but Green's only loss in the first three games was a close one with Red. This game started close too, with points going back and forth. Green scored to make it a one point game with 13 seconds left in the half. Red immediately called timeout, and used that 13 seconds to score, and stretch the lead back to two. In the second half, Red slowly pulled to a more comfortable lead, 12-6, before Green scored the final two points of the game. Final was 12-8, and Red remained unbeaten. Green fell to 2-2 with the loss, but still remains in second place due to their head-to-head victory over Black.
Thanks very much to Keith Mancini for donating new cones to the league!
