7th Dec 2014

Results and updated tables are all below, just a thank you first to all the Men's teams who didn't complain and were happy to change the order when Cambridge University cancelled at the last minute. The change from two leagues of four, to one league of 7 caused a great deal of upheaval for the other teams, thanks for your flexibility. The ladies league seemed to run smoothly, with no last minute changes.

In the Men's league we had our third different winner in as many tournaments! Medusa won all of their games, only UEA were able to get within 10 points. Spikers won all of their games apart from the match against Medusa, so ended up 2nd on the day. UEA narrowly beat GNG Bedford and in doing so pipped them to third. Bury Bobcats finished 5th, as they have done in every tournament this year! Ipswich finished 6th and Rhinos 7th. Overall Medusa lead Spikers by two points, with GNG Bedford a point further back in 3rd. Remember only the top 4 scores over the season count towards the overall league finishing positions.

Men's Eastern Region Series #3

The team to have won the first two tournaments (Is It In?) did not play today, and Spikers took full advantage by winning all their games to gain maximum points from the day. Only UEA, who finished 2nd on the day, could get within 10 points of the Spikers Ladies. Rhinos won four games to end up third on the day, with Medusa finishing fourth. Cambridge VC Tigers were 5th and they beat their sister team Cambridge VC Panthers into 6th place. Ipswich ended up 7th, although every team today won one or more matches today, which is great to see. UEA now lead overall, with Spikers in 2nd place. Remember only the top 4 scores over the season count towards the overall league finishing positions.
