Team Approach to Problem Solving (TAPS)

E.O.C.T.M. is excited to again host our annual mathematics competition, T.A.P.S. The contest problems will be available on Friday, March 1, 2024, and may be administered at any time as long as it is submitted in full by Wednesday, April 30, 2024. Full Rules and Regulations
The cost of the competition is $15 per team, or you can enter as a school with an unlimited number of teams for $50. You can register here: 2024 TAPS Registration Form. All registration forms and/or payment must be postmarked on or before Monday, April 22, 2024.
Spring 2023
14 school districts and a total of 576 students participated in the 2023 TAPS Competition! Thank you to all of the students and teachers that made our competition a success. Our planning team enjoyed meeting and reviewing student responses and is already working on next year's contest. We are also discussing in-person competitions in the future...

T.A.P.S.
Thousands of students in the Mahoning Valley have been participating in the annual Team Approach to Problem Solving Competition sponsored by the Eastern Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics. This math event is held at individual schools and answers are submitted electronically. Students work in teams of four on several rounds of problems. The competition is open to students in grade 4 through 8.
