YSU is hosting an all-day workshop on Wednesday 9/24 with guest speaker Kevin Dykema. Kevin was the NCTM president from 2022-2024 and currently teaches middle school math in Michigan. He is the co-author of the book, Productive Math Struggle, and has contributed to numerous other professional math publications. Please see this flier for more information and the link to register. Follow-up meetings are scheduled and graduate credit is also available.
With Kevin in town, EOCTM is excited to host a Mathy Hour the night before the workshop on Tuesday 9/23. Join us for appetizers and casual math conversation with Kevin from 4:00-6:00 at Bull & Bear Grille on the YSU campus. Limited free parking is available behind the restaurant and on Lincoln Ave. Additionally, parking is free after 5:00 at the Butler and $5 parking is always available at the M30 parking deck on Wick Ave. We hope you get a chance to stop in and chat!

2025 Program Update
This year's program committee has worked to select featured speakers and sessions that reflect OCTM's mission is to engage, inspire, and empower with mathematics over our first 75 years. This year's conference will celebrate the 75th anniversary of OCTM empowering minds and hearts in mathematics. Check out the most Current Schedule.

We're pleased to share this year's 2025 TAPS competition info and registration letter. We're excited to again provide this opportunity to students in our area! The contest problems will be available on March 1, 2025, and may be administered at any time as long as responses are submitted in full by April 30, 2025.
The cost of the competition is $15 per team, or you can enter as a school with an unlimited number of teams for $50. You can register here: 2024 TAPS Registration Form. All registration forms and/or payment must be postmarked on or before Monday, April 22, 2025.

E.O.C.T.M. is excited to again host our annual mathematics competition, T.A.P.S. (Team Approach to Problem Solving). Spring 2023
14 school districts and a total of 576 students participated in the 2023 TAPS Competition! Thank you to all of the students and teachers that made our competition a success. Our planning team enjoyed meeting and reviewing student responses and is already working on next year's contest. We are also discussing in-person competitions in the future...
