Apologies for the lack of updates lately. Things at E4 have been busy. Here are some notable happenings:
1. E4 President and Founder, David Perlman, was named as an Associate at HRP Associates, LLP (HRPA) this summer. As his first collaboration with HRPA President Jeff Cohen, Vice President Cheryl Savini, and fellow HRPA associate John Mather, David was instrumental in preparing the winning proposal for HRPA to serve as consultants to NIH's human research protection program (HRPP) in preparation for accreditation. The press release by HRPA can be found here.
2. E4 and the University of Miami's Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Program, perhaps the world's most used research ethics training program have partnered on a stimulus administrative supplement to CITI's Pan American Bioethics Initiative (PABI) grant, funded by the NIH's Fogarty International Center. As part of this collaboration, E4 will (1) produce and license 20 case studies for the CITI Program, including translation and dissemination to several Latin American countries, and (2) provide technical assistance in producing these cases for the CITI platform.
