D.Y.Patil Pratishthan Educational complex, Akurdi is in proximity to Pimpri Chinchwad Industrial belt, IT Park of Hinjewadi & Automobile hub of Talegaon. The Pratishthan is spread over 29 acres of land at Akurdi, which is in the vicinity of Akurdi Railway station & Mumbai - Pune Express highway. The Pratishthan is introducing new engineering college “Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Engineering, Management and research”(DYPIEMR) from the Academic Year 2012-13. DYPIEMR offers Bachelor of Engineering course in Mechanical engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Civil engineering and Chemical Engineering. To enhance the teaching learning process all class rooms are connected with Over Head Projector facility.
DYPIEMR Library is most lively place in the college that enables learning & advancement of knowledge. It has been methodically developed the collection of books and journals right from inception. It rich in collections which consist of Text books, Reference books, Journals, Technical Magazines, General books, Books for competitive exam etc. it also subscribes e-journals packages of Engineering disciplines of well international publishers to enhance & promote research activity. The Library operations are automated using
E-Granthalaya Library and Information Management Software. The Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). enables library users to search the book database by Title, Author and Publication etc. Library Processes Dewey Decimal Classification System. The Library is located in the Central Building Ground Floor with the total area of 465 Sq Mtr. Total Student reading area seating Capacity 150, It has got 10 Computers and one server in Local Area Network LAN. The machines are supported with power back up facility for uninterrupted usage.
