2026 Fossil Fair Speaker
Dr. Zachary Boles will speak at the Mineral Show and Fossil Fair on Saturday, March 28th at 1 PM.
Dr. Boles is an assistant teaching professor at Rowan University and assistant curator at the Edelman Fossil Park & Museum. He has been conducting digs and research at the fossil park since 2010. His research primarily focuses on understanding the taphonomy and paleoecology of the site. He also worked on Dreadnoughtus and has done fieldwork in North Dakota and Montana.
His talk is titled "Current and Ongoing Research at the Edelman Fossil Park & Museum".
The Mineral Treasures and Fossil Fair will be held at the Shriners LuLu Temple. Ample free parking is available.
Directions ; From the PA Turnpike (I-276): Take Norristown exit 333. After the tollbooth, follow signs to Plymouth Road. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp onto Plymouth Road and continue to the traffic light. Turn left at the light onto Butler Pike and proceed 3/10th mile, bearing left where the road forks, to a stop sign. Proceed through the stop sign, bearing right, for 5/10th mile, passing beneath the Turnpike, to LuLu Shriners Temple, which will be on the right.
From the Blue Route (I-476): Take exit 20. Follow the signs for Plymouth Road, bearing left. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Plymouth Road and continue to the traffic light. Turn left at the light onto Butler Pike and proceed 3/10th mile, bearing left where the road forks, to a stop sign. Proceed through the stop sign, bearing right, for 5/10th mile, passing beneath the Turnpike, to LuLu Shriners Temple, which will be on the right.
