Research

Here are some research questions and methodologies that I am interested in:

• • The dynamics and structure of networks - Interplay between dynamical process on and changing structure of an evolving network. Laplacian eigenvalues and eigenvectors and how to use them on directed networks. Centrality and community detection on evolving networks.

  • Agent-based Modelling - How can we best model people's behaviour and make accurate forecasts ? How can we explore future, when events occur for which there is no previous history (for example: new product launches in retail or uptake of new technologies in energy)?

  • Time Series Analysis - How does people's behaviour change over time? How do we deal with peaks without averaging out? What can we say about frequency of extremes? What does the recurrence tell us about a system that we are observing?
