Next meeting and Junior Hours due: 4/17!
EMAIL 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE FOR AN EXCUSED ABSENCE IN THE FUTURE
You will have ample time to email and reminders of when meetings are. If you email within 24 hours (ex: emailing at 5pm the day before the meeting), your absence will NOT be excused.
2 unexcused absences = probation
2 probations = kicked out
Probations are permanent
If you don’t show up to an event that you signed up for without emailing to cancel 24 hours before (unless specified otherwise ) you will receive double negative hours.
If you need to cancel within 24 hours, you will not be penalized if you find someone to replace you.
If you don’t meet the semester hour requirement you will have to make up how many hoours you missed + 1.5x hours of what you missed and you will receive a probation.
ex: if you are missing 1 NHS sponsored hour, you will have to make up 1+(1.5 * 1)= 2.5 hours
You need 26 service hours per year (13 of which must be completed by Dec 1)
At least 13 of these hours must be NHS sponsored (6 NHS sponsored are required by Dec 1)
Hours must be turned in on an organization letterhead within 30 days of the service being performed
Only show up to events you SIGNED UP FOR! If you attend an event without signing up for it, your hours will NOT be counted.
You do NOT need to provide a letterhead for events that are considered NHS sponsored (meaning an officer/steering committee member is present to take your attendance).
Make sure to check in for attendance for sponsored events or your hours may not be counted!
Hours for donation drives that are NOT NHS sponsored do NOT count as hours!
Do NOT use hours that you submit for NHS (unsponsored or sponsored) for other clubs with service hour requirements, and do NOT use hours you submit to other clubs for your NHS hours. Disciplinary action will be taken if this is discovered.
