The ultimate objective of this work is to develop practical, fast, and accurate approaches to response parameter estimation with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and other brain stimulation modalities. Estimation of response thresholds and other response parameters is widely used in various TMS paradigms and is critical to the reliability of experimental results as well as the safety and efficacy of therapeutic applications. Existent methods are time consuming and lack rigorous characterization of their accuracy.
