Welcome to my Design and Technology website!
This site is created with the intent to ease the 'pain' of learning D&T and to dispel misconceptions about the subject. I hope students will find this website informative, relevant and useful, if not, let me know how I can improve.
There are a lot of other D&T websites, hosted in UK and Australia, that contain interesting and useful resources. They serve as supplements to the learning and understanding of the subject.
A few words on learning....
Learning is a process of making self-discovery and to seek a better understanding of the world around you. It is a journey that you embark, and explore. You are responsible for your own learning and you are fully accountable to the outcome..... As a teacher, I only serve to guide and show you the way. Happy learning.
Expectations
1. Study and revise - textbook is not for keeping, it is meant to serve as a basic reference guide for knowledge acquisition.
2. On task and hand up assignment on time - it acts as a form of self-evaluation on how much you understand about the topic and for me to find out what you don't understand.
3. Be courteous to teachers, instructors and classmates - you need our help. :)
4. Be properly attired when in workshop.
5. File up all worksheets and notes.
6. Do corrections and learn from mistakes.
7. Be punctual for all lessons.
8. Bring textbook to lessons if instructed.
9. When in doubts, ask.
