DSKAY Technologies Zimbabwe (PVT) LTD (“DSKay”, “we”, “us”, “our”)
This Warranty Agreement (“Warranty”) sets out the standard warranty terms applicable to goods supplied and/or installed by DSKay. This Warranty applies alongside (and does not replace) the terms stated on your quotation, invoice, or scope of work.
Product: The equipment supplied by DSKay.
Installation Date: The date DSKay completes installation/commissioning on site (where DSKay installs).
Delivery Date: The date the Product is delivered to the Buyer (where the Buyer self-installs or uses their own installer).
Warranty Period: Twelve (12) months, calculated from the Installation Date, or from the Delivery Date for self-install / third-party installation, unless a different period is stated on the quotation/invoice.
Buyer/Customer: The person or entity purchasing the Product.
2.1 DSKay warrants that, during the Warranty Period, the Product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, and that DSKay’s installation workmanship (where DSKay installs) will be performed to a professional standard.
2.2 This Warranty is not renewable and applies only to the original Warranty Period.
2.3 Payment condition: This Warranty is null and void if full payment is not received within the timeframe stated on the quotation/invoice or agreed payment terms.
3.1 If a defect covered by this Warranty arises during the Warranty Period, DSKay will, at its discretion:
repair the Product; or
replace the defective part/Product; or
if repair/replacement is not commercially feasible, reimburse the Buyer up to the purchase price actually paid for the affected Product.
3.2 DSKay may use new or reconditioned parts and may use parts/products of the same or improved design.
3.3 If a Product is repaired or replaced, the Warranty continues for the remaining portion of the original Warranty Period (it does not restart).
3.4 Replaced parts/products removed during service become the property of DSKay.
Unless DSKay agrees otherwise in writing, this Warranty excludes (and DSKay is not responsible for) the following:
Call-out, transport, courier, travel, accommodation, removal, re-installation, access equipment (ladders, lifts), trenching, builders’ work, or civil works.
Field troubleshooting where no covered defect is found.
Misuse, negligence, accidental damage, improper operation, incorrect configuration, or use in an unsuitable environment.
Water damage (unless the Product was specifically quoted and supplied as water-resistant to an applicable rating).
Fire, theft, vandalism, pests/biological infestation, corrosion, chemical exposure, dust ingress beyond design limits, or physical tampering.
Power quality issues: incorrect voltage, unstable supply, improper earthing, incorrect generator/inverter operation, surges/spikes, and lightning-related damage unless surge/lightning protection was supplied/installed and the event remains within the protection system’s design limits.
Repairs, alterations, reprogramming, wiring changes, or modifications performed by anyone other than DSKay (or a party expressly authorised by DSKay in writing).
Defaced/removed serial numbers or identification markings.
Any third-party product not supplied by DSKay, and any failures caused by third-party equipment, software, networking, power systems, or integrations outside DSKay’s scope.
Consumables and normal wear-and-tear (e.g., cosmetic discoloration, fading from sunlight/heat, scratches not affecting function).
Uninterrupted or error-free operation, or performance outcomes dependent on external factors (coverage/range impacted by terrain/building structure/interference, network operator performance, internet uptime, power availability, etc.).
5.1 To lodge a claim, the Buyer must notify DSKay as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue and in any event within the Warranty Period.
5.2 Claims must include:
customer name and site/location;
invoice/quotation reference (or proof of purchase);
Product serial number (where applicable);
a clear fault description and any supporting photos/videos; and
confirmation of the Installation Date or Delivery Date (as applicable).
5.3 DSKay may require inspection/testing to confirm whether the issue is a covered defect. If inspection shows the issue is not covered, service and related costs may be chargeable.

6.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DSKay’s total liability under this Warranty is limited to the remedies stated in Section 3 and shall not exceed the purchase price actually paid for the affected Product.
6.2 DSKay is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses (including loss of profit, business interruption, loss of data, or loss of opportunity), whether in contract or delict/tort.
This Warranty is not an insurance contract. The Buyer remains responsible for appropriate insurance cover for theft, lightning, fire, water damage, and other external risks.
The Buyer may transfer this Warranty to a new owner of the same system provided DSKay is notified in writing and provided the Product remains at the original site (unless DSKay approves relocation in writing) and has not been modified or tampered with.
This Warranty is governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and Zimbabwean courts shall have jurisdiction.
This Warranty constitutes the entire warranty statement for website purposes and supersedes marketing statements, brochures, and informal communications, unless specifically varied in writing in the quotation/invoice
