DSKAY Technologies Zimbabwe (PVT) LTD (“DSKay”, “we”, “us”, “our”)
DSKay recognises that mental health is an essential component of overall well-being and performance. We are committed to creating a supportive workplace that promotes mental well-being, reduces stigma, and enables employees to access appropriate support.
This Policy applies to all employees and, where relevant, contractors working under DSKay’s direction.
DSKay is committed to:
maintaining a respectful workplace free from harassment, discrimination, and stigma relating to mental health;
promoting awareness of mental health and well-being resources;
supporting managers to address mental health concerns appropriately and early; and
encouraging healthy work practices, including workload management and psychological safety.
Respect and dignity: Everyone is treated fairly and professionally.
Confidentiality: Mental health information is handled discreetly and shared only on a need-to-know basis.
Non-retaliation: No employee will be penalised for raising concerns or seeking support in good faith.
Early support: Where concerns arise, we promote early, supportive engagement.
Safety first: Where mental health concerns may impact safety-critical work, we apply risk-based controls to protect the employee and others.
5.1 Employee responsibilities
Employees are encouraged to:
seek support early if they are struggling with stress, anxiety, burnout, or other concerns;
engage respectfully with colleagues and contribute to a supportive environment; and
use available resources and participate in relevant training when offered.
5.2 Management responsibilities
Managers are expected to:
foster a supportive, respectful team culture;
recognise potential signs of distress and have appropriate, supportive conversations;
maintain confidentiality and treat issues sensitively;
refer employees to appropriate internal support channels; and
consider reasonable work adjustments where feasible and operationally appropriate.
Depending on operational requirements and available resources, DSKay may provide or promote:
mental health awareness and stress-management training;
access to external support resources (where available);
reasonable work adjustments (e.g., short-term workload alignment or scheduling changes), subject to business and site requirements; and
well-being initiatives that promote healthy routines and team cohesion.
Where an employee experiences mental health challenges, DSKay may consider reasonable adjustments on a case-by-case basis, subject to operational feasibility, safety requirements, and applicable law. Adjustments are not guaranteed and are assessed in line with business needs and role requirements.
For safety-critical roles, employees and managers must act promptly if a condition may impair safe performance. DSKay may temporarily reassign duties or pause site work where necessary to manage risk.
In a medical emergency or immediate risk of harm, employees should contact local emergency services without delay.
This Policy will be communicated internally via onboarding, company updates, and team briefings. Training may be scheduled periodically based on risk and operational priorities.
DSKay reviews this Policy periodically and may update it to reflect changes in legal requirements, operational risk, and good practice.
Employees who would like support or guidance may contact: info@dskay.co.zw (Subject: “Well-being Support”). Requests will be handled discreetly.
