Little Red Shed

THE STORY OF THE LITTLE RED SHED (a.k.a. “Studio on Riverside”)

Part 4 of 5

Next up…some finishing touches. Black trim on the door and window hinges, a few coat hooks, thermometer, bench, small table, the “Jig” and of course…a sign!

But we weren’t finished there. Back in the 80’s & 90’s, my Dad built a number of metal “tractor seat” chairs for various people in our family (note the engraved name and initials on a couple). These chairs spent many years at lakefront cabins in Alberta and Saskatchewan before being replaced by lighter, lower maintenance models. We decided to resurrect the tractor seat chairs and give them a second lease on life with a good cleaning and new coat of paint.

However, we needed one more thing to go with the chairs. A fire table. With almost all items that we already had (including the barrel that Dad had also built years ago), my husband Greg was able to put together the perfect fire table.

We’re all set…almost. Just one more thing to complete the “Studio on Riverside”. Find out what it is next time in Part 5 of “THE STORY OF THE LITTLE RED SHED (a.k.a. “Studio on Riverside”)”.
