The case is made for the beneficial uses of medical marijuana as an effective, safe alternative medicine through personal experiences from patients, medical data from physicians, patient accounts from clinical caregivers and compelling legal arguments from life long advocates and activists for the decriminalization of cannabis.
Patients suffering physical debilitating conditions explain that pharmaceutical medicines were ineffective producing dangerous side effects in treating their conditions then turned to cannabis in desperation and discovered pain and psychological relief, physical improvement and often a reversal of pathology.
Interviews with doctors treating patients suffering chronic illnesses were recommended medical marijuana discovered that its use was dramatically effective in improving their conditions. Doctors reveal U.S. and internationally clinical studies contain overwhelming positive evidence that the numerous cannabinoid compounds in marijuana have constructive properties.
The caregivers who dispense the cannabis medicines to patients work closely with growers of the plant have made progress in identifying and creating potent strains that target particular pathologies that patients suffer. By reducing the psychotropic effects in marijuana and enhancing the varied cannabinoids, dispensaries successfully target maladies with the appropriate remedy.
NORML has long advocated the decriminalization of cannabis for over 40 years. It’s founder, current leaders and nationwide chapter preventatives describe the patchwork of state and municipal laws that allow medical marijuana while the federal government still regards cannabis as a dangerous narcotic. However voters increasingly recognize positive aspects of accepting and controlling medical marijuana in their communities for its medicinal benefits and the generating of tax revenues.
