Numerical Analysis (GSC-320)

Course Objectives:

This is an introductory course to the numerical analysis. The primary objective of the course is to develop the basic understanding of numerical techniques and skills to implement algorithms to solve mathematical problems on the computer.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to do the following:

  • To demonstrate familiarity with different numerical algorithms

  • To understand numerical methods in algebraic equations

  • To understand solutions of ordinary and partial differential equations

  • To implement computer-based solutions for numerical algorithms

  • To enhance technical writing, interpersonal and communication skills

Credit Hours: 3 hours lecture per week

Pre-Requisite: Differential Equations (GSC-210)
