Cell Phone Policy
Cell phones will not be allowed for personal use in the classroom. As a student enters the room, they will be asked to put their phones in a numbered cell phone slot. The phone is to remain in the slot for the entire period and this will count as their daily participation grade.
In the event that a student has their phone out without permission, it will be taken and placed on my desk until the end of the period. If the offense occurs a 2nd time, the phone will betaken to the office and a referral will be written.
If a student needs to be reached, please contact the office and they will buzz the classroom.
**At times, during teacher discretion, cell phones will be used during labs as a stopwatch or to take a picture/video of the data they are collecting for their lab reports.**
Students will know when it is appropriate to have their phone and at all other times it must be put away.
Parents: If you need to urgently contact your student, please contact the office with the message or email me.
Technology Policy
This classroom will use technology based devices frequently in this classroom. All school technology rules apply and will be enforced. Proper digital citizenship by all students is expected at all times and will be taken very seriously.
Let’s have a great year!
