Dr. M. K. Pradhan, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Raipur (An Institute of National Importance). Prior to this, he was working as an Assistant Professor, Grade-1, in the Department of Mechanical, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal (An Institute of National Importance). He has completed his PhD from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela his research topic was “Experimental Investigation and Modelling of Surface Integrity, Accuracy and Productivity Aspects in EDM of AISID2 Steel” in 2010. Before this, after completing M.E from NIT Rourkela in the year 1999. He is currently head of the Metrology and Measurement Lab and CAM Lab., and was Head of the Workshop and Production Engineering Lab. of the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India. He teaches Manufacturing, Additive manufacturing, Quality assurance, and other subjects like metrology, tool engineering, metal forming, theory of plasticity, design, and manufacturing subjects. He has over 25 years of teaching and research experience in manufacturing and fifteen years of postdoctoral research experience. Furthermore, he has advised over 75 graduates, 45 post-graduates, and 7 PhD Students. Currently, advising 03 PhD and two post-graduate students, His research interests include manufacturing, non-traditional machining, metrology, micro-machining, hybrid machining, and process modelling and optimization. He has more than 75 refereed publications and nearly 85 technically edited papers, which were published in conference proceedings, authored one book and edited two books, five conference proceedings and five journals as guest editor, and authored twenty-three book chapters. Listed consecutively since 2021, in the world's top 2% scientists by Stanford University. He is a charted engineer, a life fellow of IIPE, and a life member of ISTE, IACSIT, IAENG, and FIE (I).
