Dr. Dinesh Navale pursued Bachelor of Science (Chemistry, Physics, Maths) at Annasaheb Waghire College, Otur, Maharashtra in 2005 and Master of Science (Drug Chemistry) at Ahmednagar College, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra in 2007. After his masters he was employed as Junior Research Associate at Nycomed Pharma Pvt. Ltd. (A Takeda Company), Mumbai (From July 2007 to November 2008). During this period he was actively involved in development of new drugs for IKK2 Inhibitor. His expertise lies in synthesis of biologically important drug molecules in medicinal chemistry division.
In November 2008 he began his doctoral studies under the mentorship of Prof. M. M. V. Ramana at the Department of Chemistry, University of Mumbai. During this tenure he received fellowships from Department of Chemistry, University of Mumbai (Departmental Research Fellowship), Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India (Promotion of University Research and Scientific Excellence, DST-PURSE) and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi.
His doctoral work focused on “Studies in Design, Synthesis and Characterization of Ferrocene Containing Liquid Crystalline Materials”. He has authored 3 Intrnational Publications, 5 Indian Patent Applications and 8 presentations (oral/poster) during this tenure and has received various fellowships, presentation prize.
Since December, 2013 he has been appointed as Assistant Professor in Department of Chemistry at Vivekanad Education Society’s College of Arts Science and Commerce, Chembur, Mumbai. Where he is actively engaged in teaching of B.Sc and M.Sc students along with guiding students for various competitive exams like NET, SET, PET, IIT-JEE.
