1) System Requirments

1. We will be using Ubuntu 12.04 which needs a minimum memory space of 384MB.
2. For installing the DRC Simulation software you need atleast a memory space of 1GB. I am currently using the DRCSim-1.3 and Gazebo-1.3
   1. Running the DRC Sim requires a graphics card(GPU). Depending on the kind of robots you simulate the intensity of processing varies. But a powerfull CPU is recommended. The best experience of the software is with the NVIDIA GPUs.

Currently I am using a Dell INSPIRON with a Intel CORE i3 processor. The simulator runs fine so far but the navigation on the DRC Sim GUI is pretty slow.

Both these (i.e. Ubuntu(the operation system) and the DRC Sim(The simulation software)) can be installed on a laptop or desktop. You can buy one of these in any store like www.bestbuy.com or any-other store that sells them.
