Let's Get Started! Today we'll begin our final unit of the semester, in which we'll view, analyze, and interpret a film called Pan's Labyrinth. One way to think about a film's meaning is to study of film techniques.

Activity #2: Maria Tatar quotation: close reading analysis
Activity #3: Preparation for our next series of homework assignments: "Online Analysis of Pan's Labyrinth"
Create a Google Doc titled, "Online Analysis of Pan's Labyrinth." Skim through the resources in each section. Read one article in each sectionthoroughly. Title a section on your Google Doc with the name of the article. Choose five direct excerpts from the article that you feel might be useful to you in a future written analysis of the film, Pan's Labyrinth. Remember to always put direct excerpts in quotation marks to give the author attribution. Honors: Find one additional source not included on this list and cull out five direct excerpts from it. It can be scholarly/ peer-reviewed--- it's up to you. Cite the article correctly, using MLA format.
