Spreadsheet listing permanent file locations and available spaces on DASD included in the final configuration
Directory of "standard" job streams for system maintenance, including DSERV, LISTVTOC, standard labels, and anything else that comes to mind.
Reduce host system dependencies by using additional Hercules variables to move those dependencies to a single configuration file.
Document differences between distribution supervisor and the SYSGEN01 generated supervisor.

(Yup, I am still here...)
Converted this site to the "new" Google sites platform. There's a lot I could say about the new platform and the automated migration from so-called "classic" google sites, but the only good thing I can say is it is still free and ad-free. Although I am considering the possibility that ads may not be a big price to pay.
Updated references to Yahoo Groups to reflect Verizon's retirement of and deletion of content from Yahoo Groups. Added references to H390-DOSVS@groups.io as the replacement group discussion and file storage resource.
Updated links to the current Hyperion web site.
Minor editorial changes and typo corrections were made, hopefully enough to more than offset those introduced during the migration.

Changed the installation procedure to use a single Hercules control file. Added the ${line-end-type} variable to the configuration file to standardize line endings throughout the configuration file and Run Command (rc) scripts. Changed the installation process to avoid the use of .HET (compressed) tape images because of incompatibilities with Hercules 3.12 and 4.00 (October-2015 build; this issue has been corrected in the most current source). Removed DASD File Protection support from the generated supervisor because Hercules does not support selector channel mode operations. Made editorial changes to the installation procedure throughout.

Reorganized the introductory sections and created a section About DOS/360 that defines the key difference between DOS/360 and prior IBM operating systems, such as IBSYS for the 70xx series or the 1130's Disk Monitor System V2. Also added a page detailing how the System/360 IPL differed from prior IBM systems.

Updated the DOS360 file with the following:
Hercules Scripts in the rc directory to run the verify installation steps. (An omission; the web site instructions where already updated to call out these scripts.)
Hercules scripts in the rc directory to run the sample programs developed by Bill Carlborg.
A new directory demos that includes Bill Carlborg's sample programs, with minor changes to adapt the programs to a 2314 environment and adapt the JCL to the system created by this procedure.
Note: I re-wrote the RPG extent exit in Bill's demodam.jcl stream to chase the supervisor tables to determine the device type of the direct access file so the correct track geometry could be used. (I wanted to see if I could do it and what the code would look like if I succeeded.)
Sundry editorial corrections were made to pages in the "Start Here" section, and the documentation section was updated with links to all downloadable materials.

Added jobs SYSGEN03a and SYSGEN03b to the DOS360.ZIP file and updated the Sysgen Stage page to include instructions for these jobs.
SYSGEN03a assembles program ZAPRELO, and SYSGEN03b uses ZAPRELO to apply a patch to relocatable module ILACBL51, which becomes FCOBOL51. The patch corrects code generation when compiling a COBOL subroutine with option XREF. Thanks to Bill Carlborg for pointing out the issue and providing the correction.
Added a DOS/360 on Real Iron page and moved content to that page from DOS/360 on Hercules 390.

Included links to two manuals posted to the Chicago Classic Computing! web site on the Documentation Links page. The two manuals, DOS System Control and Service, and DOS Messages, are both Release 26 and include JCL, Librarian utilities, and messages documentation not available anywhere else. At least not anywhere else I've been able to find.

Replaced CONV2314 sysres conversion utility with CVT11RES. CONV2314 converted only the core image library; CVT11RES builds a complete sysres. Corrected the migrate01.jcl and migrate03.jcl jobstreams to include the ANS COBOL transients $$BCOBER, $$BCOBR1, and $$BFCMUL in the 2314 sysres.
