General Conditions:

The competition This is all India salon of Digital Photography is open to everyone in India; however, an entry may be rejected when DOOARS PHOTOGRAPHERS’ ASSOCIATION, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to exhibition rules and conditions.

Entrants must be the authors of the works they submit. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his/her own. The Entrant certifies that he/she is the sole owner of all the rights and elements on the image he/she presents. The organizers assume no liability for any misuse or violation of copyright.

The entrant permits DOOARS PHOTOGRAPHERS’ ASSOCIATION to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This may include low resolution posting on a website.

Entries which do not comply in full or in part with the conditions of the exhibition will not be judged.

A photo entered in one section, cannot be entered in another section. Organizers will handle each digital file and related things carefully but they are not responsible for any loss or damage.

Images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates.

Watermark or any such any identification marks (including camera generated date/time) are not acceptable.

An entrant's four images will be presented to the judges consecutively.

Decision of the jury member will be final and entrants are bound to accept the same. Acceptances in this Salon will count towards statistics applicable for FIP.

Rules and Regulations:

1. All photographs must be the work of the participant solely.

2. Images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates.

3. There will be 5 (FIVE) sections:

(A) OPEN – Monochrome (M)

(B) OPEN – Color (C)

(C) NATURE – Nature (N)

(D) PHOTO TRAVEL (PT)

(E) CREATIVE - (CR)

4. Files should not be watermarked and should be in proper specification.

5. Renaming Files and Image Submission:

Entries must be submitted in the following way:

1. First fill-up the form on 'Participate Now' Page by providing your details and submit the form by clicking 'Submit' bottom at the last page of the Form. Please read the details rules and regulation before filling the Form.
2. Click 'FILE UPLOAD' tab at the bottom of 'Participate Now' Page. A new tab will open. upload the image Category-wise. In place of 'Your name', write your image title. Before submitting the Image-files please rename those jpg. files as per the instruction given.

Renaming is required for each and every entry.

Please rename an image files in following order –

SECTION NAME and serial no _First name_surname_title of the image.

Example :

Serial No. of image in Color Section– 2, First Name – John, Surname – Smith, Title of the image – Colors of Joy Section – Color;

Then the image name should be : C2_john_smith_Colors of Joy

Please use following abbreviation to denote section in file naming

(A) OPEN – Monochrome (M)

(B) OPEN – Color (C)

(C) NATURE – Nature (N)

(D) PHOTO TRAVEL (PT)

(E) CREATIVE - (CR)

Similar examples: PT3_amal_das_rainbow, NT1_raul_gibson_bird_ etc.

6. Image File Specifications:

(A) Color Space- SRGB

(B) Format- jpeg/jpg.

(C) Compression- 8-12

(D) Size: Horizontal- 1024 pix (max in width) and Vertical- 768 pix (max in height) including/excluding borders.

(E) Resolution: 72 DPI.

(F) Maximum file size 1MB

7. Closing date for entry will be 21st June, 2015

8. Results will be published in the club’s website http://www.dooarsphotographersassociation.com and separate notification will be sent.

9. The organizers will take reasonable care of all entries; however, in no case will they be held responsible for any loss, damage or unauthorized use.

10. Unless otherwise specified, DOOARS PHOTOGRAPHERS’ ASSOCIATION reserves the right to reproduce any work for any purpose not being of commercial nature. Reproduction rights in catalogue or press publicity without any payment to the author is assumed.

11. Entries without appropriate entry fee will not be judged.

12. Minimum 25% entries will be accepted in each section.

13. Entry fees:

For single entrant:

Single Section: Rs.150/-,

Any two Sections: Rs.250/-,

Any three Sections: Rs.350/-

All Four Sections: Rs 450/-

All the Sections: Rs.500 /-.

14. Payment procedure:

i) Multicity cheques(**) are also acceptable.

Multicity Cheques should be issued in favor of Supriyo Roy Sarkar; Payable at Alipurduar.

ii) Demand Draft (**) are also acceptable.

Demand Draft should be issued in favor of Supriyo Roy Sarkar; Payable at Alipurduar.

16. Submission of entries will imply acceptance of all the applicable rules and regulations by the entrant.

17. Please do not resubmit the entries without proper intimation.

18. Catalogue: Every participant will receive a CD catalog.
