#The number of members of Dooars Photographers’ Association(DPA) are now reaching halfway mark of a century are always busy with some activities of DPA such as ---

1)Photo exhibitions,

2)Photo workshops,

3)Photo outing,

4)Other activities.

1)Photo exhibitions:-

a] DPA organize a annual photo exhibition of its own namely ‘Lense-O-Scope’ in the month of August-September.

b] DPA also participate in photo exhibitions at Dooars Utsav every year.

c] From last year dpa is conducting its national level salon also called ‘Lense-O-Scope’2014. Participants best photos are exhibited in DPA’s annual photo exhibition meet.

d] Some times photo exhibition have been done on request basis to raise awareness among the students,people etc..

2) Photo Workshop:-

Photo workshops have been done each year at various time through out the year to

just boost up the new comers with comprehensive knowledge of photography and in this platform they

can know their device well to take better photos.old members can brush up themselves too in the

supervision of an photo experts.

3) Photo Outing:-

To do better photography photo outing is very important.It not only quench the thirst

for capturing better photo but also makes the bond stronger among the members.Local one day outing

as well as 3-4 days tour were some times arranged for this purpose.

4) Other activities:-

a] August 19th is designated as the ‘world photography day’ which is also celebrated

as the birthday of Dpa in an auspicious manner.

b] To commemorate every single success event of annual exhibitions a picnic is organized at night, it’s

too in an jungle ambiance.

c] The members of DPA also worked for the nature awareness programme by placing of posters at different

places of Dooars, participate in nature awareness related cleaning programme etc.

d] DPA is always trying attract and encourage the youth generation to make this photography as their

hobby,in future as their profession also by giving a platform to exhibit their own photos towards the

people of Dooars.
