Joint Postdoc Position available from now(filled in 2018)
Duties and Responsibilities:
The project will be focused on the use of in situ and ex situ transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to study the energy-related, led by Dr. Dong Su Brookhaven) and Prof. Zhongwei Chen(Waterloss). The projects are (1) to understand, at the nanoscale, how the electrochemical performance of secondary ion batteries are affected by the structure, size, and other physical properties of these materials. (2) to study for metallic electrocatalysts, how the surface/interfacial structure affecting the overall performance(property-structure relation). The project will involve our aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscope (Hitachi-2700C) and the other state-of-art analytical electron microscopes in CFN. This position will provide an exceptional opportunity to do research at the forefront of electron microscopy, and the opportunity to collaborate with leading experimental groups working on energy-related materials.

· Ability to work collaboratively with other scientists within broadly defined research directions.
