Our "Class of 65" has been committed to making a contribution to a "Scholarship Fund" each year.
Contributions were awarded in our name, based upon merit, the desire to excel, academic superiority and a willingness to give back to others, to a graduating Dixie Heights student to assist in furthering their education.

2025
Our 2025 Scholarship Award for $2,500 from the Dixie Heights Class of 1965 was awarded to Owen Caudill May 15, 2025. Owen plans on attending Eastern Kentucky University the fall of 2025. Owen has been involved at Dixie. His enthusiasm for success shows and he is a member of the Baseball Team.
2024
Our 2024 Scholarship Award from the Dixie Heights Class of 1965 was awarded to Brynn Wainscott. Her success at Dixie can be recognized by her achieving the Dean's List, as well as co-captain of the Lacrosse Team for two years. She was manager of the stage drama events series. Brynn will be attending Morehead University.
2023
The 2023 Scholarship Award from the Dixie Heights Class of 1965 was awarded to Katarina List. This $2000 Scholarship is well deserved. Ms. List was an all-around good student her years at Dixie having attained multiple honors and awards. Katarina shared with us she will be attending Bellarmine University in Louisville this fall. Her major will be in Special Education.
2022
Our 2022 Scholarship Award for $2000 was awarded to Mackenzie Stieby who lives in Erlanger, KY. This Scholarship Award was based on her scholastic achievement and her commitment to volunteer work at Lakeside Christian Church. Mackenzie will be attending Northern Kentucky University and plans on majoring in elementary education. She has a strong desire to help shape the younger generation and demonstrates the level of commitment necessary to achieve that goal. Mackenzie, the Class of 1965 wishes you all the best of luck in your future endeavors.
2021
The 2021 Scholarship Award for $2000 was awarded to Walker Smallwood of Lakeside Park. Walker will be attending UK and plans on specializing in a degree in the medical filed, specifically cancer research. Walker, while at Dixie, battled cancer and is a Cancer Survivor. His high academic achievement was demonstrated as he was a member of the National Honor Society. He was a member of the Golf Team, a basketball manager and recommended to us by teachers praising his persistence and mental toughness. Teachers expressed Walker was an example to his peers.
2020
Our Award of the 2020 Scholarship Award for $2,000 went to Matthew Kane who lives in Crestview Hills, KY. Matthew has chosen the Purdue University to attend. He will major in engineering and is attending Purdue over other Universities because of their reputation for excellence in Engineering. Matt is a well rounded your man and has a high endeavor to achieve his goals. We wish you the best Matt.
2019
The 2019 Scholarship Award went to Carlie Mendrick and was based upon scholastic achievement, school and community activities, and an expression by Carlie of her ambitions to make a difference in her communities! Carlie plans on pursuing a nursing career.
2018
This year’s 2018 scholarship fund of $2,000 was awarded to Sarah Bigney. Sarah plans on attending Northern Kentucky University studying Graphic Design. As a member of the National Honor Society, on the Dixie Varsity Girls Track Team, and on the Dean's List, Miss Bigney shared with us she will miss being part of the Dixie experience which she felt has been a home to her. She is also involved with the Grace Fellowship Church and helps out in multiple programs. Sarah, the Class of 65 wishes you luck in your future endeavors!
2017
The 2017 scholarship fund of $2,000 was awarded to Rosa Alvarado. Miss Alvarado is from Elsmere. Rosa finished in the top 25 in her class of 2017. She received the "Against All Odds Award" from the Education Council of NKY.
She hopes to attend UCLA. Best of luck Rosa on a job "well done".
2016
The 2016 Scholarship Award of $2,000 went to Dixie Senior Kylie Fowee. Miss Fowee began earning credits at the Northern Kentucky University while still at Dixie and she plans to continue her education at NKU. She helped in the AP Language Arts program as a tutor and aided in the Dixie girl’s volleyball camp for elementary students.

Our Scholarship Committee has been proud to serve and accomplish awarding these scholarships.
Unfortunately, the decision has been made this year will be the last award. We continue to hope that another class or other classes will pick up our tradition. Thank You goes out to all our class members who have contributed over the years!
