Il y a is a series of photos taken in unusual places.
This time not only close to home but also elsewhere. Light remains important in the photographs.
All the images feature a child, her eight-year-old grandson.
His name is Ilya.
The brave little fellow walks into the world, stepping, dancing and dreaming... a carefree child.
Through the stillness in the images, there is also a certain seriousness: we all worry about our children's future.

Il y a is een serie foto’s gemaakt op bijzondere plekken.
Deze keer niet alleen dicht bij huis maar ook elders. Het licht blijft belangrijk in de foto’s.
Op alle beelden is een kind te zien, haar acht jarige kleinzoon.
Zijn naam is Ilya.
Het dappere ventje loopt de wereld in, stappend, dansend en dromend… een onbezorgd kind.
Door de verstilling in de beelden, is er sprake van een zekere ernst:
we maken ons allemaal zorgen om de toekomst van onze kinderen.
