Dr Dilip Kumar is working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Mathematics, University of Kerala since March 2020.  After completing his bachelor's degree in Mathematics in 2001 and his master's degree in 2003 from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, he acquired a bachelor's degree in Education from the same university in 2004. In 2007, he joined the Centre for Mathematical Sciences Pala as a DST-Junior Research Fellow, and in 2009, he became a DST-Senior Research Fellow.  He completed his PhD in Mathematics at Anna University, Chennai, in 2014.  In August 2014, he joined the Department of Basic Sciences at Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirapally, as an Assistant Professor and served there till March 2016, where he received the Best Performing Faculty Award 2015.  In June 2016, he joined the Department of Mathematics, N.S.S. College, Cherthala, as an Assistant Professor and worked there till March 2020.  Dr Dilip Kumar is a recipient of the prestigious Young Scientist Award of the Indian Science Congress in 2012.  He received the A.K. Agarwal Best Published Paper Award from the Society for Special Functions and its Applications in the year 2011, the Indian Mathematical Society’s IMS prize in 2010, the Young Scientist Award of the International Academy of Physical Science in 2010, Best Paper Award in the National Meet of Research Scholars held at IIT Kanpur in 2008 and Best Paper Presentation Award of the Vijnana Parishad of India in 2007.  He has participated and presented papers in many national and international conferences.  He has been an invited speaker at many national and international conferences in India and abroad and a reviewer of many national and international journals, including Mathematical Reviews.  He is an affiliate member of the American Mathematical Society and the London Mathematical Society and a life member of many professional bodies, including ISCA, IMS, SSFA, GMS, ISTE, and KMA.  He published about 20 papers in international journals and a few papers in national journals and edited two books. His areas of interest are Special functions, Integral transforms, Fractional Calculus and reaction rate theory in Astrophysics.  He is an executive committee member of the Society for Special functions and their Applications, India and an approved research guide of the University of Kerala.
