Manufacturing of decorative laminates involves soaking of brown Kraft paper in phenolic resin, while decorative paper and protective translucent sheet are soaked in melamine resin. When the papers become suitably hard, pressure and heat are applied to press and bond them. The result is a laminate sheet with stylish surface and other amazing capabilities.

These laminate sheets are designed in two categories; high pressure laminates (HPL) and low pressure laminates (LPL). High pressure laminates are relatively expensive and very durable and has longer life as compare to LPL. HPL is perfect for both horizontal and vertical installations, while LPL is recommended only for vertical installations.
