Responsibilities
A member /mentor of the Personal Board of Directors aka the "Diamond N You" facilitates personal, professional development and spiritual growth through postitive affirmations, support and encouragement. Members share their knowledge and insight through life experiences, whether personal or professional. The desire to share these "experiences" is characteristic of a successful member/mentor. A successful member/ mentor is:
Supportive - One who supports the needs, growth and aspirations of the others. This supportive attitude is critical to the successful development of the Personal Board of Directors. A member must encourage other members to accept the things she cannot change, with the will and desire to move beyond her circumstances and overcome difficulties.
Patient - A member is patient and willing to spend time performing her responsibilities as a member of the Board. A member provides adequate time to interact with other members.. Time requirements should be defined by both those members who are personally engaged with each other.
Respected - Members must respect other members who opinions and values differ from theirs. It is important that this person be someone to whom others can look at as a postive role model.
Members must recognize that we all "diamond in the rough- ready to be cut and polished into the type of alluring, beautiful, unique, special and extraodinary women that we are"
