About Us

Since 1991, Delaware Creative Housing has provided and promoted safe, accessible, affordable housing to people with special needs and/or to senior citizens.

Delaware Creative Housing, Inc. (DCH, Inc.) is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation located in Delaware, Ohio. DCH, Inc. was started with support from the Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities (DCBDD) to meet the need for accessible housing within Delaware County. The mission of DCH, Inc. is to assure that all persons with disabilities have accessible housing that meets their needs.

DCH, Inc. manages two HUD 811 projects, allowing persons with disabilities to afford living within their community. DCH, Inc. also works extensively with Section 8 vouchers through Metropolitan Housing Authorities. With this type of support, the tenant pays a percentage of the rent; the other is subsidized by social service organizations.

Medical Equipment Lending Library

If you have a need for adaptive equipment, we might be able to help. Donations of a variety of items on a regular basis allow us to provide those items to people on a permanent or temporary basis, depending on your needs. Items such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, canes, crutches, transport chairs, and more may be available at any given time. Call our office at (740)368-5803 for further information. We greatly appreciate donations of your no-longer-needed equipment, as well... so that we can continue offering this service to those who need it!

The Housing Support Network

Who are we? The Housing Support Network is your single source for all your home maintenance needs. We are a division of Delaware Creative Housing, Inc., a service provider you can trust, and that has managed properties for many years. We were incorporated in 1991, but have specifically been managing properties since 2000.

The citizens we have served are typically persons with disabilities, the elderly, and those in need of durable medical equipment. We currently manage approximately 40 homes in Delaware and we are experts in the arena of accessibility. Our standards for maintenance are high and our maintenance team/property management oversight is committed to making sure homes are safe, address accessibility and meet or exceed quality living standards.

Why do we offer our service? Delaware Creative Housing, Inc. wants to meet the needs of people who cannot do their own maintenance or who cannot oversee projects for their loved ones. We believe everyone has the right to "age in place" if they choose to remain in their own homes. We offer our services to seniors, veterans, citizens with disabilities and family members of loved ones living outside the immediate area. Certain income eligibility requirements apply.
