Basic Obedience 101/Level 1 for the Adult Dog
This is a beginner level course for the adult dog that has NOT had any formal instruction/training to this point in its life. This course incorporates a combination of the training process of Level 1 and Level 2 (listed above). Since behaviors can often become established by this point and training may need to be modified to your specific needs, this level is offered only in private sessions (6 weekly one-hour sessions learning the basic commands). An evaluation is required prior to enrollment to assess whether your dog could be a candidate for this class. Dogs with aggression issues will not be accepted. This course has limited availability-- private sessions, and only on weekdays between the hours of 9am-2 pm when time slots open as others graduate. There is often a wait list for this course. (Recommended dog's age for this course is 1-3 years-- A dog older than this may have already established behaviors that may need seen by a behaviorist first. Dogs are accepted on a case-by-case basis for this course due to its limited availability.)
