2017 Competition Rules

The rules for 2017:

Hold onto that cup!

A human-driven robot is hunting your robot, trying to knock over your cup. The robot that holds onto its cup the longest wins!

Your robot must best designed to hold the cup at a specified height. The arena will contain obstacles, such as pillars and rumble strips.

The human-driven robot will be retroreflective, so you will be able to detect it with a laser or camera.

The human-driven robot will have limited vision, speed, and maneuverability. Time ends when the cup falls - even if the other robot did not hit it, so don't drive too aggressively!

As you develop your robot, some things may change:

- best two out of three trials? Average of three trials?

- build more than one robot?
