To Whom It May Concern:

Please be advised that David Cainas has qualified to represent the United States at the 2011 International Cadet Judo Championships in Harnes, France. Additionally, he will be able to take part in a multi-national training camp that is adjunct to the event. A good showing can do much to advance David’s standing and his ability to qualify for the future US Teams that will compete in the Pan American Continental Championships for which he will become eligible in 2012.

David is a ranked athlete within the USA Judo Elite Athlete Ranking System. The opportunity to compete and train in France, which is one the strongest Judo countries in the World, can be invaluable with regard to realization of his goals.

These events provide unique opportunities for athletes to compete against, and train with, some the very best in the World.

For an athlete with high level aspirations, experience of this nature is essential to help prepare and to maximize his chances. The travel dates are December 6 - 14, 2011.

I am writing on behalf of David Cainas, and of USA Judo, to request your support and indulgence with regard to allowing him the absences necessary to enable him to participate in this very special athletic event.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jim Hrbek
