Awards
Recipient of the 2025 Minnesota Music Educators Association Collegiate Music Educator of the Year
2025: I was selected for the Minnesota Changemakers in Music Education project, sponsored by the Minnesota Department of Education. The project highlights music educators who are driving systemic transformation in music education. In addition to receiving an honorarium, I was interviewed for a case study and my teaching was observed as an example of rethinking traditional music education structures to create inclusive, student-centered, and culturally responsive learning spaces.
