Appointed to serve on the Women's Faculty Cabinet (2024–2027)
Participated in the Departments and Majors video (DMV) project to be the faculty representative for the School of Music. I was interviewed to create a recruitment video where I reflected on the experience of the major, the value of the degree, public life, research, and career readiness.
2. Service to the University of Minnesota School of Music
Served as a clinician at the 2025 UMN Wind Band Conducting Workshop and presented my session, "Cultivating Community Wellness Through Participatory Music Activities," on July 15, 2025.

This partnership will hopefully make musical experiences and opportunities more equitable across the district.

Instructor for Kent State University's Online Masters of Music in Music Education program (2015-present)
I usually work with 1-3 Research and Capstone students per semester (Fall, Spring, Summer), in addition to teaching a section of one of the other courses listed below based on the rotation of courses. Because I am not part of the graduate faculty at UNL, teaching at Kent State gives me the opportunity to work with graduate students. I also gain experience in teaching 100% online courses which aligns with one of my research interests and has been helpful experience when teaching remotely during the pandemic.
