Research

My research concentrates on understanding studying symmetries in symplectic geometry and its generalisations. Intuitively, symplectic geometry studies the geometry of spaces where the most fundamental quantity that can be measured is area. Moreover, it lies at the intersection of Hamiltonian mechanics, Lie theory and complex geometry.

I am particularly interested in objects that possess "large" symmetries: thinking mechanically, these correspond to systems that have sufficiently many constants of motion and include (but are not restricted to) completely integrable Hamiltonian systems.

To get an idea of what I have been thinking about, please take a look at the list of my publications and preprints, either here or on my Google scholar page.
