Welcome to my homepage!
I am an Associate Professor at São Paulo School of Economics, Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV EESP).
I am an economist working at the intersection of urban economics, environmental economics, and labor economics, using causal inference and large-scale administrative data to support evidence-based decisions. My work focuses on identifying interventions that generate economic growth while improving social outcomes and environmental sustainability. I collaborate with governments, firms, and international institutions on policy design, impact evaluation, and cost-benefit analysis.
In urban economics, I study how urban policy, infrastructure, and transport systems shape labor markets, firm creation, and inequality. In environmental and natural resource economics, I evaluate climate mitigation and adaptation policies, including energy policy and climate-resilient social programs, with particular emphasis on “triple dividend” policies that increase productivity and resilience while reducing emissions. In labor and organizational economics, I examine firm dynamics and entrepreneurial responses to economic shocks and policy interventions.
