Cortland senior Michael Lysyj (Hillsborough, NJ/South Shore Kings) joined the roster of the East Coast Hockey League's (ECHL) Orlando Solar Bears on Mar. 8. The Solar Bears are an "AA" affiliate of the National Hockey League's Minnesota Wild.
Lysyj led the Red Dragons in scoring this past season with a career-high 33 points on team bests of 18 goals and 15 assists in 25 games. He recorded five power-play goals and two short-handed scores and tallied 19 points in 16 SUNYAC contests. In 96 career games, Lysyj totaled 77 points on 39 goals and 38 assists.
