News
For news on training, games and social events, there are a range of ways of keeping in touch with what's going on. These include:
Teamer - To be included in the Teamer updates, please provide the coaches with your e-mail address and mobile telephone number. This is particularly useful for receiving last minute updates, such as games being cancelled or a change of venue or time.
Midi-Rugby News Page - The home page on this site is regularly updated with the latest news
Dalziel Rugby Forum Pages - Updates are posted on the Midi Rugby Forum page. Generally a link will also be provided to this site too.
Contact the Coaches - Contacts and Directions will be provided below in due course.
Training and Games
Training takes place on a Tuesday evening between 7.00 and 8.30pm each week and on a Sunday between Mid-day and 2pm. There is some discussion about changing the Sunday times and an update will be posted if this is agreed.
For home games, the Kick-Off time is usually set to be 2pm on the Sunday, though it is expected that players turn up by 1pm so they can get properly warmed up and prepared. When a game is cancelled, there will normally be a training session in its place. The start time for this will be advised.
End time depends on a range of factors, including the weather.
For away games, the start time is proposed by the away team. Once known, this will be advised on this page, on the Midi Forum page, and a Teamer will be sent out to those who've given their contact details. If you're not getting the Teamer updates, contact one of the coaches to confirm your details.
Always remember to bring a gum-shield, a warm top or waterproof, and water. For training sessions, make sure to bring both trainers as well as boots, in case training is moved to the Astro-Turf.
If playing, make sure to bring £1 to pay for the strips to be washed, and for home games, bring a further £1 to pay for hospitality.
Membership
The forms and further information is provided in the "Downloads" section. Membership is £48 per year for S1/S2. This can be paid in one but more and more the preferred option is to have a Standing Order set up which pays the club a monthly amount. This should be set up to pay 12 monthly installments starting on 1st October through to 1st September. Further instructions are available in the "Downloads" section.
For social members, there is a saving of 50% on the youngest child's membership fee. Social membership costs £60 per year and brings a range of other benefits.
