I Want to Do A Little Something
- Call, text, or email a fellow member to check in between meetings
- Give flyers to doctors, school counselors or hairdressers and tell them about trichotillomania and/or skin picking
- Tell a friend or family members about trichotillomania or skin picking to raise awareness
- Make a donation to the Trichotillomania Learning Center (TLC) - www.trich.org
- Donate a book or DVD to build the support group's lending library
- Post a related article or link to the Google Group
- Bring a discussion topic, book, article, idea or other information to a support group meeting to share
- Call a first-time meeting attendee to welcome them to the group
- On Facebook, "like" the TLC Foundation page
- Join a TLC online support group
- Post support group business cards on bulletin boards at local businesses

- Attend TLC Foundation's annual conference: www.bfrb.org/events
- Donate to TLC Foundation at www.bfrb.org
- Meet a local support group member in between meetings
- Volunteer to respond to emails sent to the group facilitator
- Help plan a special event (picnic, potluck, screening of Bad Hair Life)
- Participate in an TLC Foundation Awareness Week activity (first week of October each year): attend a film screening, put up flyers, send TLC brochures to local salons, doctors)
- Create a fundraiser on Facebook or another platform and donate the proceeds to TLC Foundation
- On Facebook, post on the wall of the TLC Foundation's page
Yes, I Really Want to Be Involved
- Invite a therapist to "guest speak" for 20 minutes at a support group meeting
- Serve a six-month term as a co-facilitator of the monthly support group meetings
- Volunteer to mentor/sponsor a new support group member for two months, checking in weekly
- Organize a local TLC educational workshop in DFW
- Attend a TLC meeting, conference, or retreat and report your experience to the group
- Submit a proposal to speak at a TLC conference or retreat
- Organize a 5K walk/run to fundraise for TLC
- Create a logo for the DFW support group
- Design a new [better!] website for the DFW support group
