I am a language and communication expert with over 20 years’ experience across academia and industry. I am currently earning the M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Vermont.

My work draws from linguistics, cognitive psychology, and communication sciences and disorders to improve the learning and practicing of language and speech skills, and I am passionate about helping regular people (like you!) benefit from research insights.

Throughout my career, my focus has been on how people learn and use language, including:

how children manage learning two languages, often in different situations and from different people
how adults develop skills in a new language and build the confidence to use it
how people can strengthen their communication when faced with a speech or language disorder
