There is a number of ways to make credits, aka "creds" (the game's currency). When you are a new player, you want to stick to the non-violent ways to make money. The following will get you started.
First of all to get any type of job, you need a credit stick. To get one, go to the Bank located to the eastern side of the northern stretch of Fuji blvd. Inside the bank type "open" to open an account. Also this is the place to redeem debit cards when you get paid with one by some of the job systems below.
Non-violent employers:
These offer a job. Visit them every day. There is a limit of jobs you can do a day.
- Find Kingpin in the Bowling Alley - just on the eastern side of Hitachi just north of Midtown and south of Hosaka intersection. Visit several times a day.
- Find Janya who is in the Casino on southeastern Hitachi street - just a room north from the corner with Pullman. Visit several times a day.
- Go to the NCPD, officer Martaugh. It is located on the north-eastern part of Fuji blvd. Visit few times a day
- The Mortius Biotechnologies - drugs testing. Located in Old City, which starts at the south-western corner of Joseki and Pullman. There you need to walk s, sw, sw, then about 7 times south, until you find the Mortius clinic somewhere to the west, enter the Testing room. Visit once a week.
One of the delivery locations is inside an apartment in Warnov. Warnov is located southwest up the hill from the northwest corner of High and Joseki. Just go North from the Kyo-do hill once there. This, or other apartments you should usually just knock on the door and go in. To exit the apartment type "press enter on out" to open the door and "go out".
Non-violent through advantage:
These are sort of an economy job which do not require interaction with other PC, require an advantage.
- If you have the Scavenger skill/advantage you can go out in the Eastern Wastes, kill mantlions, cougars, etc and "scavenge corpse" to collect body parts from them. Some of those body parts you can sell to Yasu who has a store on the northwestern part of High Street. Give/Offer the scavenged organs to Yasu for a payment in debit cards. Only two organs per day.
- If you have the Lockpicking/Locksmith skill/advantage, you can go to the alley behind Crazy Edo's and then deeper into the alley, where a NPC called Natasha may offer you a job if you have available APs (Advantage Points) to spend. Crazy Edo's store is on the southwestern part of the city, search outside the store to find the entrance to the alley. She will send you to pick the door of an apartment in one of the buildings. Copy the code of the keypad and return to say the code to her. Once a day job, requires 1 AP.
Non-violent, other:
- You can sell drugs to the NPC gang "The Jerks" -- all roam throughout and about Pullman Drive. Just give a drug to one of the Jerk NPCs and he should pay you if he wants the drug. First look at the NPC, if their character description says they are strung out and hoping for a fix - they are ready. If it says they have had their fix recently, come back to that NPC later again. Doesn't work with whole boxes of drugs.
- Sell armor, weapons and high-tech to Marco, two rooms west from the southwestern corner of Joseki and High.
Violent employers:
These are criminal organizations, and jobs require an advantage. Suitable for advanced combat players. There is a lot of NPC killing, packages delivery and headhunting.
- Mr. Koboyashi - the Yakuza, located in the Pleasure Dome on South Joseki, east from the main bar area - must have the Yakuza advantage.
- Mr. Lorenzo - the Italian Mafia, located upstairs from the Lorenzo Pharmacy on Pullman drive. Again requires a Mafia advantage.
- Ivankov - Russian Mafia, located in a hidden office in the Grimmy Gym and Spa on south Joseki.
Violent employers require of you to be an advanced player, not only for the combat involved where you will confront well trained and equipped NPCs, but also for package delivery locations require of you to know the places in the city. Some of the more common drop-off and hit-job locations the boss sends you to are:
- Decrepit Warehouse - located at Nirvana
- Dark Warehouse - on Bayfront near corner of Bayfront and Suzuki
- Smashed Theater - in the Eastern Wastes. Enter the wastes from the southern crack of the wall located on the northeast corner of Renjuki and Bayfront, then walk south 6 times, and 1 time east. Search for the hidden entrance.
- Haggard House - Basement - in Old City, I think it was from the corner of southeastern corner of Pullman and Joseki "go s sw sw s s s s s" then "go west and down"
- The Quay - In Old City - starting from the southwestern corner of Joseki and Pullman "go s sw sw s s s s s s s s s s s s s s w w w w w s s e"
