Wireless Networks

There has been quite a discussion recently about the safety or otherwise of wireless networks. A number of opinions have been gathered together in this blog post.

Of particular note is the link to what the New Zealand Ministry of Health has to say about it here.

"Exposures to WiFi signals in New Zealand schools, both from the access points and devices, are very low. On this basis WiFi in schools does not pose a health risk to children or staff."

It states that:

'the installation of WiFi equipment in schools does not pose a health risk to staff or students'.

Wikipedia also has an information sheet that basically says that although there are studies going on the risk is low and it is all around us!
