We had a great time at our September workshop. We visited Kid Hollow Farm and dyed our own skeins of yarn. A special thanks to Pat Harder for hosting and teaching us all about how she dyes her beautiful yarn!
But before we get to the dyeing a quick look at the adorable angora goats that Kid Hollow is known for…
And now onto the dyeing! First we started with our natural colored yarn in a tray:
Next we added all of the color before putting the yarn in the oven!
After baking for a little while, we were able to take out our (still steaming!) new yarn:
After a quick rinse and spin, our yarn is ready!
