Classes

Creative Movement | Age 3* | 1 hour

• What we will learn:

  • Simple dance concepts (lines, circles, progressions across the floor, forward/ backward, little/big, etc.)

  • Basic ballet to expand on + point/ flex toes, kick, skip, chasse

  • Listening to instructions, paying attention, partner work

  • Music! Lots of Sing-Song Tunes

  • Basic Tumbling (Bi-Weekly)

  • Work with props such as dance hoops, bean bags, ribbons, river stones & pods

Pre-Ballet | Age 4* | 1 hour

• What we will learn:

  • Basic dance concepts (lines, circles, progressions across the floor, forward/ backward, little/big, diagonal, etc.)

  • Basic ballet positions, postures & movement

  • Listening to instructions, paying attention, partner work

  • Music! Lots of Sing-Song Tunes

  • Next Level Basic Tumbling (Bi-Weekly)

  • Work with props such as dance hoops, bean bags, ribbons, river stones, rhythm sticks & pods

*With these classes – I ask that moms sign up to assist during the class with the bathroom needs

Attire:

• Dance leotard and either tights or dance shorts

• attached short skirts are ok

• avoid long fluffy tutus please

Tap / Ballet Combo I - II - III | Age 5, 6, 7 | 1 hour

• Tap class is first

• What we will learn:

  • Basic dance concepts (lines, circles, progressions across the floor, music count)

  • Ballet positions, postures, movements & turns - which advance through the years

  • Basic Tap Steps which we continue to advance season by season

  • Listening to instructions, paying attention, partner work & rhythm

  • Music! Lots of Sing-Song & Instrumental Tunes

  • Basic Tumbling (Bi-Weekly) *Advanced from the previous classes

  • Work with props such as dance hoops, bean bags, ribbons, rhythm sticks, river stones, pods and position squares

Tap / Jazz Combo | Age 8+ | 1 hour

• What we will learn:

  • Working on extending our previous Tap and Ballet dance techniques into the age appropriate levels for Tap and Jazz

ADDITIONAL CLASSES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST:

• Clog

• Country Line Dances / Two Step / Waltz (singles or group sessions)

• Broadway Showtune Sing & Dance

• Bachelorette Party – Line Dance lessons

Shoes:

• • Ballet & Tap shoes can be purchased at Baby In Bloom (Kingfisher) or Payless Shoe Stores or at a Dance shop. *no nylon house slippers
