Summertime Award

The Summertime award is a pack award designed to encourage a full year's program in Cub Scouting. Activities are planned and conducted in June, July, and August. For Pack 95 our June Graduation and Cookout counts as the first of these. July usually involves a trip to Kimball’s Farm or the Lowell Spinners game and August sees the week long day camp at Camp Paul in Chelmsford. However den meetings or outings can also qualify so long as they are approved by the Pack 95 committee. These can include, but are not limited to, campouts with the den or Council for example Schools out campout, visits to places of interest or den meetings working on achievements or electives A colorful streamer for the pack flag is awarded when the summer is complete. Any dens with an average attendance of at least half their members at the three summer pack events will be eligible for a colorful den participation ribbon. Boys who participate in all three pack events are eligible to receive the National Summertime Pack Award pin, which they can wear on the right pocket flap of their uniform.

Boys can receive more than one award for each summer of three activities they complete.
